Our Story
For generations, the Scattaglia family has grown premium stone fruit in the high desert foothills of California’s San Gabriel Mountains. They developed the best practices known for growing, packing and delivering tasty fruit, a process that begins with choosing the right soil type and microclimate. This insures that each and every piece of fruit that is picked will reach optimum size, color and especially flavor to satisfy our consumers tastebuds every time they eat our fruit.

In 2007, Louis Scattaglia made the decision to take his extensive knowledge in produce and his desire to deliver good tasting fruit to the consumer while compensating the grower well for doing so and form a new company which is known as Scattaglia Growers & Shippers, LLC. (SGS) today.

We consistently strive “To deliver premium quality product to the consumer through the best customers possible, to enhance the return to the grower.” We are committed to the values that Louis’ family has always lived by which is to grow high quality fruit and partner with good retailers to deliver it properly to the consumer.

To insure that our products are safe, our labeling and record keeping enables us to determine the growing site, harvest and pack date of every single box of fruit that we produce. SGS, along with all of our growers, support worthy charities and educational institutions, focusing on the needs of kids and those that are less fortunate. These entities are vital to the wellbeing and quality of life that we believe that every community should enjoy.
